Fitness Fridays with Michelle Nickerson

Each class encompasses cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance. This class is geared towards all levels; each participant can focus the intensity of their workout to their own fitness level. Join us for a fun, active and social fitness class. Suggested equipment: Light hand weights, dynabands, and a chair nearby.

Trip: Edward M. Kennedy Institute Visit & Simulated Debate

The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate is designed to bring the history of the U.S. Senate alive with its dedication to educating the public about the important role of the Senate in our government, encouraging participatory democracy, invigorating civil discourse, and inspiring the next generation of citizens and leaders to engage in the civic life of their communities. You will be invited to roleplay as a U.S.Senator and participate in a live floor debate on an actual piece of legislation before the Senate: an Amendment to Abolish the Electoral College. You will also have a chance to explore the other exhibits at the Institute, including a reproduction of Senator Kennedy’s Washington, DC, office and new exhibit, Standing Up For Democracy: Ted Kennedy and Voting Rights.Cost: $10, paid to Weston COA.
