  2. MassDOT Design Public Hearing: Rte. 30 Bridge Over Charles River

    MassDOT will be rehabilitating the Newton-Weston Bridge and making improvements to the conditions of I-95 NB, Rt. 30 EB, and Rt 30 WB. The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become acquainted with the proposed project. All views and comments made at the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible. During the hearing, MassDOT will review the construction activities and schedule, right-of-way procurement, improvements to bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, and impacts to the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer comments.

  1. August Donation Drive for Animal Rescue League of Boston

    The COA is hosting summer donation drives for two local organizations in great need, as donations tend to dip for nonprofits in the summer. August drive for the Animal Rescue League of Boston (Dedham Location), who, for over 120 years, has responded to the needs of animals through veterinary care, adoption and field services. Last year their three locations served more than 16,700 animals in need in Massachusetts. They increasingly focus on prevention and the impact they can have on more animals; keeping them out of shelters and in the communities where they belong. Your contribution will help support their efforts and care of these animals. Most needed items: Kongs (all sizes), Jars of peanut butter (free of xylitol), Dog toys (squeaky, rope, plush), Leashes, Training treats, Pill pockets, Cat toys & cat nip, Treats, Pill pockets, Cardboard scratching posts/pads, Cat brushes and grooming tools, Non-clumping cat litter, New or gently used towels, blankets, sheets, Dawn dish soap

  3. Weston Scramblers

    Join other golfers for 9-hole golf scramble, a fun format for informal rounds among casual golfers. Meet by 12:15 for 12:30 tee time. Cost: $22 inclusive of 9 holes and golf cart, payable to the golf course on the day of play (not to the COA.) Golfers are required to have some golf experience and knowledge of golf etiquette.
