Vaccine Update

For residents who signed up on the SignUpGenius to be notified about a vaccine clinic in Weston you have been sent an email updating you about the state's latest decision. The state is no longer going to send additional vaccines to Weston and most other towns to provide local clinics.  If you have received your first vaccine at a Weston Clinic you will be able to get your second shot when it is time at a Weston Clinic.

We have volunteers ready to safely provide rides to vaccination appointments to those who need them. Please do not hesitate to contact us for a ride request 781 786 6280.

Amazing Adventures in Architecture

Basílica de la Sagrada Família & Taj Mahal

Friday, February 26, 1:30-2:30 on Zoom

Join us as we visit two monumental UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona and the Taj Mahal in Agra, south of Delhi in India. Construction on the Sagrada Familia, with its three majestic facades and - at 550 feet towering over the city - was started in 1882 and has yet to be completed. Its architect Antoni Gaudi has come to symbolize Barcelona. We’ll then travel to India and the Taj Mahal built in the early-tomid 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the remains of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. The building is constructed of translucent white marble brought from Rajastan and inlaid with 28 types of precious and semi-precious stones, including jasper from the Punjab, jade and crystal from China, turquoise from Tibet, lapis lazuli from Afghanistan and sapphire from Sri Lanka. Contact the COA to register 781 786 6280.
