"In early 2020, when COVID-19 began to affect the U.S., the long-running concert series at the Weston Library hit a snag. Organized by the Music Committee of the Friends of the Weston Library, the series has brought a variety of performers, both classical and popular, to the library’s Community Room since 1999.
Audience members from Weston and the greater Boston area have always been enthusiastic supporters of the program and its musicians.
The concert series was midway through its 2019-20 season run when, in March of 2020, the Music Committee had to cancel the last four programs as the pandemic closed public buildings and ended in-person performances.
As the weeks passed, it became clear that entire 2020-21 concert season would also have to be cancelled. But, like many other cultural groups hit hard by these devastating circumstances, the Weston Library and the Music Committee have responded with creative solutions to this problem."
