Monthly Family Service and Supper Nights
Sunday, September 19, 2021
Join us on the third Sunday of each month for an all-ages worship, followed by a simple meal of soup, bread, crackers, and cookies. These gatherings are intended for people of all ages/stages, as well as different backgrounds and traditions.
Are you and your family already feeling worn out, though the school year has just begun? Are you looking for ways to reconnect to your sense of wonder and hope? Are you looking to cultivate that wonder in your children? Do you want to experience deeper connections, not just talk about them? If so, join us on the third Sunday of each month for an all-ages worship at 5 pm, followed by a simple meal of soup, bread, crackers, and cookies. These gatherings are intended for people of all ages/stages, as well as different backgrounds and traditions. Arrive at 5 and you’ll be back on the road, refreshed and fed, by 6:30 pm.
The services will be filled with engaging music of different styles and eras – from jazz to hymns to pop and musicals. We’ll include short readings, poems, and stories, as well as some time to share joys and sorrows, and quiet prayer and meditation. Each service will include a reflection by the worship leader to explore big questions about making meaning of our lives and building connections with one another.
The September 19th service will feature music by Steve Sussman, a professional pianist on the faculty of The Rivers School Conservatory. Come unplug and find your monthly “reset” – refresh your mind and renew your spirit.
