About Us
The Weston Recreation Department enhances the community by providing quality programs, facilities, events and support. Under the direction of the Recreation Commission and working closely with the Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee, our programs and services are among the best in the state for municipal agencies.
Popular Programs
Youth – After School programming, summer camp, and various sports related activities including Red Waves swim team and Ice Skating lessons.
Adult and Senior – Group exercise, Ballroom dance, sport related training such as golf, tennis and pickleball; informal sports such as pickup basketball and men’s hockey.
Facilities
Thirteen athletic fields, fifteen tennis courts – five with pickleball lines, and four basketball courts located throughout Weston.
The Weston Memorial Pool - Weston's 20,000 square-feet, 700,000 gallon pool that was once the largest in New England and operates June through August.
The Weston Community Center, home to the Recreation Department and the Council on Aging and available for function rentals and meetings.
Primary special events
The Annual Spring Egg hunt.
The Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Cambridge Trust.
September 11 Flag Memorial.
Community Support
The Weston Recreation Department has lent support to many local groups for their public events, activities, and community building efforts. Some of our more common partners include the Weston Community Children's Association (WCCA), Weston Dads Foundation, Weston Wayland Rotary, and Women’s Community League.
Programming Partners
Building community does not work without partnerships. Our programming partners provide space and/or services to help enhance your recreational experience. Some of our more active partnerships are conducted with the Weston Public Schools, Rivers School, Cambridge School of Weston, Land's Sake Farm, and the Weston Friendly Society.
