Outdoor Skating

Skating will be available at College Pond (adjacent to Burchard Park) when conditions permit. The Recreation Department will monitor conditions and post updates here, on location, on Facebook, and via e-mail through Notify Me (provide your e-mail and select "Recreation Happenings").

Current Conditions:  Not Safe.

The Warming Hut

The warming hut will open for specific hours on weekends and holiday breaks as skating conditions allow and staff is available. Hours for the warming hut will be posted through opening/closing announcements and updated here.

Maintenance priority

The Recreation Department will maintain the ice at College Pond to the best of our ability. During snow storms, priority is given to snow clearing on certain roadways and town properties which we do in conjunction with the DPW and Weston Public Schools. Additionally, some snow events could compromise the safety of the ice, in which case it will not be cleared.

Safety

When conditions are not safe, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK OR SKATE ON THE ICE. When conditions are favorable for skating, use at your own risk. Even in the best conditions, weak spots can still exist and conditions could change on short notice.  Please follow these general safety rules when using the ice.
