  1. Regis College: Resistance and Genocide Awareness Art Exhibit

    April 11, 2018, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Carney Gallery, Regis Fine Arts Center

    Regis College is hosting a semester-long "Diversity Walk" focused on themes of racism, women's issues and ethnic cleansing with art exhibitions featuring the works of famous and local artists, as well as artists from the Regis community. Additionally, the university will host discussions to promote dialog and understanding around each issue addressed in art on display.
    This third and final installation features artwork by Gordon Chase (www.gordondchaseart.com) and Mike Stoddard (www.mikestoddard.com) and leads up to the film screening and discussion on April 25th.

  2. From Conflict to Collaboration: An Overview of the Collaborative Problem Solving Parenting Approach

    Do you ever feel frustrated with your child? Do you find yourself shouting and imposing consequences, but things don't improve? Imagine having a simple framework to guide you in every parenting challenge and bring out the best in both you and your child. This presentation provides an overview of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach, which gives parents concrete tools to relate better to their kids, reduce challenging behavior, and build their skills in self-regulation, communication, and problem-solving. Karen Kraut, MPH, is a parenting coach and Certified Trainer in the Collaborative Problem Solving approach based in Massachusetts General Hospital’s Think: Kids program. She founded Be the Parent You Want to Be! to teach parents CPS and she co-founded Making Parenting Work, which brings maternity and parenting wellness to the workplace. Karen presents on CPS throughout greater Boston and has taught CPS to hundreds of adults over the last 4 years.
