February 22, 2018, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History
Do you know the names of all our presidents? Can you place them in the order that they served? Can you name the Commanders Chief born in Massachusetts? How many names of our First Ladies do you know? You can find out all this and much more at the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History. Children and adults can view exhibits of stamps honoring all past presidents to learn more about their biographies, their achievements in office and their first ladies. Children can also search through boxes of Presidential stamps to make their own free presidents’ collection. In addition, visitors can use stamps to do various arts and crafts projects such as making mugs, frames, birdhouses and bookmarks. Children also send themselves a postcard with free postage. Designing stamp mosaics and presidents stamps are additional activities. There will be a stamp scavenger hunt of the Presidents on Stamps exhibit for prizes and children can have their photo made into a stamp.

Please join the Weston Community Children's Association (WCCA) for a special school vacation week event featuring a hand-clapping, toe-tapping, get-up-and-move musical performance by Wayne Potash. Wayne's solo and band performances for young audiences are interactive and high energy. He knows songs and subjects that connect with kids, and always keeps his audience captivated. As a professional musician, teacher, and graduate of Berklee College of Music, his guitar playing, singing, and songwriting are a big step up from the norm, making his shows truly enjoyable for kids and adults. Ages 2-8, siblings welcome.
