  1. Valentine Making Day with Love Stamps at the Spellman

February 10, 2018, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ The Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History

Sure, you can send e-cards or paper cards to your Valentine, but why not earn a few loving points by creating your own card with a special message during the annual Valentine Making Day? The Museum has thousands of U.S. Love stamps issued over the years that visitors can use to decorate their cards and envelopes, as well as make Valentine gifts such as mugs, frames, and bookmarks. Volunteers will help with instructions. The museum will also provide stationery and free postage if you send your card from the Museum. There will be Love stamps on display along with special Post Office cancellations from towns including Valentine, Texas; Loveland, Colorado; Loving, New Mexico; and Romance, Arkansas. In addition, the Museum will have an exhibit of stamps celebrating Black History Month and children can make a free collection to take home of famous African Americans on stamps. The Museum store will also be open with gifts for both collectors and non-collectors.
