The 50 voice mixed choir will sing a wide variety of music from early madrigals to jazz and show tunes. This festive evening of music will include the work 'Last Words of David' by local composer Randall Thompson, 'Contre qui Rose' and 'Dirait-On' by the well known 20th century composer Morten Lauridsen and the song 'Sweet and Low' arranged by our very own pianist, Dr. Jenny Chou. Lighter works include selections from the musical 'Grease', the Beatles 'Can't buy me love', jazz standard 'Come Fly with Me' and the gospel tune 'Joyful Joyful' from the movie Sister Act. All will enjoy this wonderful 45 minute concert of lively choral music! The Community Chorus is a non-audition chorus in its 16th year of performing and is made up of male and female voices from Weston and surrounding towns.
