This beloved ghost story, first published in December 1843, was written by author Charles Dickens with the expectation that it would haunt readers' houses pleasantly. Delvena Theatre Company will present, complete with period costumes, a dramatic reading of this wonderful message of hope and love: Through a series of spectral visions, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is allowed to review his life and to change its outcome. Delvena Theatre Company was founded in 1992 by a group of working actors. The company was nominated for two Independent Reviewers of New England awards for acting as well as a Best Ensemble Award. Their original shows are designed to educate as well as entertain. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
