On November 28th, at the Special Town Meeting, Weston voters will consider a Citizens’ Petition calling on the U.S. House of Representatives to launch an impeachment investigation of Donald Trump, to determine whether the president is violating the Emoluments Clauses of the Constitution. Across the nation, a growing number of cities and towns--from Brookline and Newton to Los Angeles and Oakland, California--have already approved similar, citizen-initiated municipal resolutions. On October 26th, Weston voters have the chance to learn more about this resolution and to voice their opinions on what many see as the clash between our Constitution and the words and actions of the current president. The program will feature Marguerite M. Dorn, an attorney, law professor, and consultant whose career has focused on public international law and women’s leadership and advancement.

Giuseppe Verdi's greatest tragedy, OTELLO, is a miraculous union of music and Shakespeare's drama, a masterpiece as profound philosophically as it is thrilling theatrically. More than any other art form, opera is meant to appeal directly to the senses. All you need are eyes, ears, and a soul to appreciate opera. Advertisers love it and filmmakers use it all the time. Come and explore one of the world's most beloved operas. Speaker Erika Reitshamer is an engaging teacher whose knowledge and love of opera will inspire all, and her open style and sense of humor are irresistible. She has lectured on opera and great singers of opera for many years and was active in the formation of the Boston Lyric Opera Company more than 40 years ago.
