Drop into the Craft Room on Tuesday mornings and use the materials on the table to experiment with textures and art techniques to create a fun project to take home!
Materials will change every week; there will be something new and different each time. It could get messy, so plan accordingly!
Adults MUST stay in the Craft Room with their child.

Baby sign language,developed by Dr. Joseph Garcia, gives babies and toddlers the ability to communicate their needs and wishes to caregivers without frustration, tears or tantrums. This program will help you to give your pre-verbal infant or toddler an effective way to communicate with you!
Infants learn at their own pace; to start signing, an infant must be able to focus on the hand movement and have the cognitive ability to make the connection that a sign is a gesture of something needed or wanted.
Other Benefits of Sign Language:

Accelerates your baby's development of speech
Increases child*s vocabulary
Enhances early literacy skills
Allows for lower noise levels and aggressive behaviors in childcare settings

Join us for a discussion of a classic of detective literature, Agatha Christie's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd:
A murder in a small English village leads Hercule Poirot into a strange mystery involving a determined, curious spinster, the local doctor, and a wide range of suspects with possible motives and mysterious relationships.
Copies of the book are available for check out at the Circulation Desk a month in advance.

Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in tech, seeks to reverse the decline by teaching 100,000 girls to code by the end of 2018. The Girls Who Code Club is a free after-school program for 6-12th grade girls to use computer science to impact their community. The Club will be hosted at the Weston Public Library with a group of 20 students and will be taught every Tuesday starting October 17th by industry professionals in computer science. To learn more about the Girls Who Code and the Weston Club please attend our Information Session.
