  1. Edible Wild Plants in and around Weston

    The Weston Garden Club is hosting Russ Cohen while he presents "Edible Wild Plants in and around Weston." Cohen, a naturalist and wild food enthusiast, grew up in Weston where he spent much of his time in the woods. He was introduced to wild plants in his sophomore year at Weston High School when he enrolled in an edible botany mini-course given by the high school biology department. That began a lifelong passion that he will share in this garden club talk, as he highlights 30 or more species.

  2. Spellman Museum: Electoral College Electors to Speak

    Two residents of Weston, Nazda Alam and Joseph Mullin, who have been electors to the Electoral College will explain how they were selected, what special legal obligations they had and what the ceremony was like at the State House on the day they cast their ballot. They will also discuss the pros and cons of the College and will welcome questions and opinions from the audience. The Museum galleries will be open with a special exhibit featuring postal history items related to past presidential inaugurations.
