September is National Preparedness Month

npw200

Every week this month the Weston Emergency Reserve Corps will be highlighting specific steps that we can all take to be prepared for emergencies as individuals, as families, and as a community.

This week, Sept. 6th:

  • Make a family emergency plan: See www.ready.gov for great resources and templates you can use to make your plans
  • Sign up for alerts and warnings: Register for Weston’s emergency notification system at www.weston.org/WestonAlerts
  • Check your insurance coverage: Make sure that it is adequate in the event of a disaster, especially if it involves flooding.

Watch for additional Town News and Public Safety News and see ready.gov/september for more about National Preparedness Month. If you have any questions or need more information, contact the Weston Health Department at 781-786-5030.
