Zoning Board of Appeals

The Town of Weston has one opening on the Zoning Board of Appeals.  The Board is made up of six members who meet in panels of three members approximately twice a month.  The Board of Appeals hears and decides on administrative appeals (e.g. from decisions by the Town's Building Inspector), and applications for variances from zoning restrictions, for special permits for changes to pre-existing, nonconforming properties, for special permits for exceptional uses specified in the Zoning Bylaw, and for comprehensive permits under “MGL Ch. 40B” or Low and Moderate Income Housing Act of 1969.

Weston residents, preferably with a background in architecture or civil engineering, who would like to be considered should submit a volunteer application (download or apply online) or email a letter of interest with background information by Friday,  May 12, 2017 to selectmen [at] westonmass.org or by mail to the Weston Board of Selectmen, Post Office Box 378, Weston, MA  02493.
